About MED-Project
MED‑Project is a subsidiary established by the Pharmaceutical Product Stewardship Work Group (PPSWG) to develop, implement, and operate safe, effective, compliant programs for the disposal of household pharmaceutical products in adherence with state and local legislation. MED‑Project is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization.

Working as an accountable organization, on behalf of producers, MED‑Project effectively operates take-back programs for unwanted medications and sharps from households.
MED‑Project’s programs are designed and operated to meet all applicable program requirements and federal, state, and local laws and regulations, providing comprehensive compliance systems and risk mitigation across all mandated jurisdictions.
MED‑Project executes on its purpose to provide safe, secure, cost-effective, take-back programs for unwanted pharmaceutical products from households, delivering compliant programs for producers.

The Board of Directors is appointed by the Pharmaceutical Product Stewardship Work Group Board of Directors to represent the collective’s interests and provide governance and oversight to the compliance, financial strategies, operations, and regulatory affairs executed by MED‑Project.
